Multnomah Art Center Classes

Spring Classes begin April 2. I'll be offering Beginning Collage; More Mixed Media and "Where's My Muse"

Unless otherwise indicated, workshops take place in my studio. Please confirm attendance at workshops at least 3 days prior. Additional information and directions will be sent to you at the time of sign up.          Visa/MC accepted.

Workshops & Classes

"Monoprint & Collage" with April Richardson   $180 (includes inks and some materials)

Session I -- Friday & Saturday March 30-31, 10--4:30                                                  Session 2 -- Saturday & Sunday, April 14-15 10--4:30                                                               

This workshop is an opportunity to exercise your creative muscle with this spontaneous and painterly method of printmaking, combined with collage to make mixed media gems. We will work on a portable etching press, and April will demonstrate additive and subtractive methods of making prints, along with drawing on plates. Using the prints as bases for collage, we will experiment with various methods and materials for collage.

"Open Studio" --   Saturday, April 21  2:00--5:00    $40

Get help with your projects, or just spend time working with the benefit of additional resources. This is also an opportunity to try out or become more familiar with specific techniques such as image transfers, stamping, textured materials, etc. While there's no specific class agenda, topics or materials from previous classes or workshops may be reviewed as requested.

No specific supplies required other than personal materials and equipment used in previous classes.

Special Event Workshops

Want to plan an art party for a special occasion? A collage party is a fun and unusual event for groups of up to 10. No art skills are required. Parties may be themed, and will provide everyone with a great piece of original art to take home. Party in my studio or at your place. Also, plan a workshop for your favorite organization. One or two-day workshops can be planned for clubs, social groups, associations, etc., as a recreational activity.
